The Drift Collective is a local marketplace and community space that is coming soon to Ashland, Oregon. The first of its kind in the area, the Drift Collective will be the place to shop handmade goods with a bubbly beverage in hand, hang with friends and listen to live music. It’s a multi-purpose community space for creatives and locals alike.

The owner wanted deep, earthy and bold styles, with a touch of mystery and symbolism, for her branding. We chose a snake to represent the space, as "historically, serpents and snakes represent creative life force. As snakes shed their skin through sloughing, they are symbols of rebirth, transformation, immortality, and healing." This was the perfect symbol to represent the space. As for the typography, I created a custom font that epitomized the word "drift," as the letters ebb and flow in their position for a playful, whimsical feel.
