Creating this logo for the Siskiyou Prescribed Burn Association was a wonderful collaboration, resulting in this badge style logo that celebrates the local ecology of the Siskiyou mountains. Prescribed Burn Associations (PBA) are community-led associations of people who work together to implement prescribed fire for a wide range of objectives. This logo communicates that communities can be empowered to manage their own land by showing a normal person with a drip torch rather than a firefighter in uniform. The style takes inspiration from vintage forest service patches and badges.
